Article Evaluation
editThe article topic I chose to evaluate is the Wikipedia:Simplified Manual of Style. Everything written in the article is relevant to the topic. There were no distractions. Each section was short and concise, talking about the content of Wikipedia:Manual of Style. The links all work properly, and the sources are pulled directly from Wikipedia itself. Because the article is purely information, there is no bias involved. The talk page for the article discusses the guidelines of some styles, and even suggests that other information should be included. Other than that, there is also a couple links related to the article, and a thankful response to the author of the article. The article is rated as high importance and an A-class help article, and belongs to the Wikipedia Help Project. We haven't discussed this topic in class, so there currently isn't a comparison available.
Possible Contributions to Ice Jacking Article
editThe article for "Ice Jacking" is currently only a stub. It briefly covers what the phenomenon is and gives links to ice heaving and ice shoving, which are similar phenomenons. I might be able to expand on the phenomenon itself a little more than the stub and provide ways to prevent it from causing damage.
Ice Jacking Outline
edit- Expand on what Ice Jacking entails and the process of it.
- Add a section talking about how ice jacking statistically contributes to the rockfalls in subalpine regions. [1]
