History
editFormation and Musher (2006–2010)
editThe idea behind the band came up in 2006 when Kamil Krasoń invited his high school friend Jan Babicz to become a vocalist for their common music project. The first song "Wonders Of Flame" was written and produced, "Solitude" was created some time later. Jan liked the songs and the band was founded. The material for the first album entitled "Musher" was recorded during the summer of 2007. In the meantime, Jan's long time friend, bassist Michał "Szynka" Szendzielorz joined the band. The album was finished by the end of the year but the band's activity couldn't be continued due to personal matters and other duties, therefore the project was eventually abandoned.
The band met together in the autumn of 2008 when they were shooting the video for the track "Solitude". In the same year, Black Canvas and their music debuted on the radio station Dublin City FM and were also popular at some Depeche Mode parties.[4] After playing together in 2009, guys decided to dedicate themselves to the band more seriously. On November 8th, 2010, "Musher" was released at last. It is available for free download on their website. The album was promoted with the videos for the singles "Solitude", "Lean Back", "Red Eyes", "Pyromaniac" and "Wake Me / Stray". [5]
Invoked (2011–present)
editBetween winter 2009 and spring 2010 Kamil Krasoń was writing and working on the new material. The production and recording already started. The second album "Invoked" will be released in 2012.
