Career
editUehling has been a professor in The Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University, since 2019. She is the director of her research laboratory focused on fungal symbioses, diversity, and evolution. She is also the curator of the mycological collection at the OSC Herbarium, Mycologist for the Oregon Health Authority Psilocybin Advisory Board, and instructor for several courses including Mycology at OSU.
Research
editHer research offers insight into how fungi function in symbioses with bacteria, plants, and humans and how fungal genomes evolve as a consequence. Specifically she is an expert in diversity of species in the ectomycorrhizal fungal genus Clavulina, and in interactions between Mucoromycota fungi and their bacterial endosymbionts.
