The University of Georgia at Fairburnis a fictional university set in Fairburn, Georgia created by sports game YouTuber, Drew Morris aka Not The Expert for his NCAA Football 14 series.[1] The series chronicles the rise of the UGF Pandas from worst school in the Sun Belt Conference, to nationally ranked program in the Atlantic Coast Conference over the course of three seasons thus far.[1] In the series, Drew creates narratives for each of his players based upon their popularity with viewers as well as their progression and future potential down the road in the series.[1] Besides the roster at UGF, all the other rosters in the series are based on the 2018-2019 NCAA football season.
History
editThe series began on May 31, 2018 and in it's inaugural episode, showcased the teams ineptitude.[2] It's namesake and mascot is based on the fact that the Atlanta Zoo nearby has four pandas according to the creator Drew Morris (as well as his penchant for eating Panda Express) and is a culmination of putting all the NCAA Teambuilder sliders on their worst setting possible.[2] The team's athletic facility is a local Planet Fitness, it's fanbase severely lacking, no pro potential or program tradition whatsoever, and their only academic pillars is their internship with Panda Express.[2] They have local rivalries with Georgia State University and the University of Georgia although the latter is more so because of the schools proximity to each other.[2]
