I work for the Sheridan Libraries of Johns Hopkins University and my primary responsibility is providing reference assistance and answering questions for those researching various aspects of the history of JHU. I provide information and answer questions without regard to whether or not the information reflects positively on my institution (i.e., "warts and all").

Conflict of Interest Statement

I, User:Jim at JHU, am an employee of the Sheridan Libraries of the Johns Hopkins University, a cultural institution per WP:GLAM. I accept the editing conditions specified at that page. I will not make any edits that would not be beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia.

My main edits tend to consist of the following activities:

   Creating or enhancing existing articles relating to university history, based on both published and original primary source materials.
   Creating or enhancing existing biographies of notable scholars, researchers, and cultural figures with connections to Johns Hopkins University.
   Adding authoritative references, citations, and images to improve the quality of existing articles of all types.

I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikipedia guidelines. I ask that other editors do not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against this declaration.
