Mike Murphy is a conservative candidate running in 2010 Republican Primary, Texas House of Representatives District 65, which includes Denton County portions of Carrollton, Frisco, and Lewisville. He has held various leadership roles within the Denton County and Texas Republican Party.[1] He finished second in votes to Congressman Ralph Hall in the 2004 US Congressional race, amid the controversial switching of political parties by Mr. Hall.[2]
Mr. Murphy was recently endorsed by Empower Texans, PAC, due to his views on fiscal responsibility.[3]
