jlskiba [Phoenix Rising from the Ashes sandbox test]

Phoenix Rising from the Ashes is a bronze composite figure with a marble base depicting a half-nude woman emerging from the flames holding a phoenix above her head.
The bronze sculpture symbolizes Atlanta's reconstruction and rebirth after the city was almost decimated during the Civil War.
It was designed by Jim Seigler and sculpted by Italian sculptor Gamba Quirino; the statue was presented to The City of Atlanta in 1969 by the Rich Foundation.[1]
in order to commemorate the centennial of Rich's Department Store (now Macy's).
In anticipation of the 1996 Olympics, Blackberry Studios completed restoration work in 1995, and moved Phoenix Rising from its original location on Spring Street
to its current location in Woodruff Park.
