Livefyre
editLivefyre is a real-time social commenting platform designed to turn a website's static comment section into a dynamic stream of real-time conversation. Livefyre supports integration with Facebook and Twitter, allowing users to share their comments and conversation with the members of their social network.
Located in the SoMA region of San Francisco, California, Livefyre was founded on December 7th, 2009 by Livefyre CEO Jordan Kretchmer.
Technology
editLivefyre is built on XMPP technology, the same chat technology used in Jabber, iChat, and Google Wave. Livefyre's Chief Technology Officer, Justin Karneges, was an active contributor to the development of XMPP technology.
