She developed an interest in music at a young age. Her early exposure to contemporary music significantly shaped her artistic style. Rudert began her career performing at local venues and festivals, quickly gaining recognition for her distinctive voice and poetic songwriting. Her debut album, "I will go on", released in 1999, was well-received by critics in newspapers and marked the beginning of her professional journey as a Liedermacherin.
