Joistmonkey is a British male, from the North East of England, who is relatively new to editing Wikipedia :-)

He enjoys writing his blog, listening to music, reading novels and stuff about biological sciences, and playing chess.

His edits mostly fall in the category of 'correcting errors of grammar and spelling', as he can be quite anal about that sort of thing. He also contributes to articles about places he knows well, and other subjects which interest him.

Given a spare few minutes, he'll scan the 'Recent Changes' pages for vandalism, and correct/revert what he can. Unfortunately, he feels that vandalism by unregistered users is getting to become a massive problem, and wonders whether if only registered users could contribute then the balance w.r.t. quality vrs quantity might be better served?
