My early edits from March–September 2025 were done as an IP user, partly out of habit but also because I find the logged-in user interface too cluttered. I've since been able to customise it more to my liking: This page has become useful as a central hub through which to navigate my work, given that I don't find the watchlist mechanic particularly healthy. I don't mean to claim any of the articles I've contributed to.

I like to work in areas that I think have been neglected, either because they're too controversial, too complicated, or too inconvenient. As interesting as these articles might be they tend to revolve around people who rather let themselves down— more uplifting stories can be found in Chouraqui, Sister Hélène, and Giraud relative to his peers.

• January 1838: The Spectator, reviewing Thornton's book. Possibly the first such instance.
• 1873–4: Verne's Around the World in Eighty Days
• 1976: Tony Thomas's The Great Adventure Films in a synopsis of Gunga Din (1939), which itself used 'Thugs' and has been established as a central influence on the writers of Temple of Doom (1984).
