Wistia provides it’s own video API and player offering a unified viewing experience across all platforms, browsers, devices, and locations around the globe. Wistia boasts a collection of in app analytical tools for customer feedback including heatmaps, video stats, and in-depth user tracking.
Currently Wistia is offered on all online platforms and can render all video codecs. Wistia video player can be embedded into Facebook, as well as into any personal site.

2.1) Wistia Player
Wistia supports a wide variety of video formats including MOV, MP4, M4V, AVI, WMV, ASF, MPG, VOB, MOD, and 3GP.
2.2) Wistia API
The Wistia data API is programmable and customizable for customer specific needs. The data is available in either JSON or XML format over HTTP. There is also a Wistia API Ruby gem for access from the command line.
2.3) Wistia Super-embeds
Wistia generates HTML embed codes for videos that can be put in HTML documents, content management systems, or web frameworks (PHP, JAVA, RoR, etc.). Once the embed code is in place, videos can be played around the world.

editWistia was founded by Adam Savage and Brendan Schwartz both Brown University graduates in April 2006 to help filmmakers collaborate online remotely. Wistia developed applications to help companies track how consumers watch, use, and interact with their videos. [3]
Fees range from $79 a month to $10,000 a month, depending on the size of the deal and the number of sales reps using the service. The company landed a $650,000 round of venture funding in 2008, and a $775,00[4][5] round of Venture funding in 2010. [6]
