George Solonos

George Solonos (born Nov 19, 1982) is a Cypriot Australian, songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and film composer based in Los Angeles, CA.  

Film Scoring:

One of his most recent film scoring works is "Calico Queens" (2018) featuring Danny Trejo and Hilty Bowen.

In 2017 he was awarded "Best Original Score" at the Bucharest ShortCut Cinefest for the film "Bad Habits" (2017).

More of his film composing works include "DonkeyXote" (2016 - Winner of the Montreal Film Festival), "Chinatown - The Three Shelters" (2018), "Bad Habits" (2017 - Official Selection at the Berlin Independent Film Festival) and additional music for "Apple of my Eye" (2017 - starring Burt Reynolds, Liam Mclntyre and Amy Smart).

Some of the works he is featured in include Methods of Mayhem's - "A Public Disservice Announcement" (feat. Motley Crue's Tommy Lee), Chantz's - "Stories of Me" and "WolfPakk", an all-star project featuring Iron Maiden's Blaze Bailey, Paul Di-Anno and Judas Priest's Tim "Ripper" Owens.

Music Producer:

His production works include Boy George's rearrangement of "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" (performed by Kat Themis and Boy George) and Jon Lords (Deep Purple) - "What Should I Do" performed by Alexia (Alessia Aquilani).

Bands:

Solonos is the founder, producer and principal songwriter of bands "Marianne's Wish", "Sulphur Generation", "Barebone" and "Naughty Claudia".

Academic Qualifications:

Jazz Guitar Degree at Philippos Nakas Conservatory (Athens, Greece)

Masters Degree in Music Production (Distinction Awarded) at Leeds College of Music (Leeds, UK).
