editKochu Pampa (Malayalam 'കൊച്ചു പമ്പ') is a reserve forest area and site of Kochu Pampa dam, in Pathanamthitta District of Kerala, India. The place is situated 40 km from Vandiperiyar and 28 km from Kumily. The road from Vandiperiyar passes through dense forest which is the natural habitat of a wild variety of flora and fauna. The fauna include elephants, Leopards, Tigers, Bears, Indian Gaur, Barking and mouse deers, Lion Tailed Macaque, Sambar, Nilgiri Marten and more than 200 species of birds. Nageia Wallichinia (Podocarpus Wallichinia)is an endemic species of Gymnosperm family seen around the area.
