Peter Ramsay Watt Boyd (May 6th 1922 to December 6th 1991) was for many years one of the most prominent radiologists in Trinidad & Tobago. Born in Roseau, Dominica, he left just before the end of the 1939-45 war to study medicine at the University of London. He married Angela Ramoutar in 1952, and they had five children: Roger, Peter (deceased), Christine, Jeremy and Emily. After returning from further (radiological) studies in England, he served the Trinidad Government from 1960 to 1983, and for many years was head of the X-ray Department of the San Fernando General Hospital. His greatest love was his classical music, and it was said that he had the finest collection on the island. His knowledge of music and hi-fi was second to none, and his collection of records, tapes and compact discs survives in the hands of his second son Jeremy Richard Watt Boyd.
