Trump directly targeted the National Parks System and their Twitter account when they tweeted about climate change. There is a possibility that accessibility to national parks can drop during this administration because Trump has already threatened defunding NPS, making them more expensive to visit or in some cases even shutting down National Parks. More generally, climate change can and will negatively impact the ecosystems of many of our National Parks. Because our President and his administration think that climate change is a hoax, our National Parks are increasingly vulnerable to destruction. By denying concrete evidence of a social media account from our National Parks System, the President is creating a very dangerous precedent for the safety and prosperity of our nation's ecosystems.
