Wikipedia is not a paper book, however many users feel that it should be limited in scope to whatever they deem notable. That is foolish and somewhat scary (imagine if the Internet in general had censors with deletion capabilities!). This website should exploit the great advantage of electronic media and not exclude any article unless it provokes violence or harm toward others. Links to unpopular articles should be limited, but the articles themselves should not. My hope is that people will start to create as opposed to delete. There is too much good to create to waste so much time on deleting!
The wiki is a brilliant concept, but for it to truly work, all participants must leave their bias at home, which may be too much to ask. The rules that promote censorship (deleting articles, 3RR) are a blight to the website and should be reconsidered.
