This page is currently being used to test brackets and labels to the right of the cladogram using |grouplabel= with the |bar=, |barbegin= and |barend= parameters. Comparisons are made with the {{bar label}} method.

This page uses {{cladeN}} in the examples so as to us the sandbox module. Also note this page was originally used to test cladograms made using the {{Cladex}} so will have cladograms with {{cladeNx}}. These should be removed.

Positioning of grouplabel markers

• uses absolute positioning of markers (<td>) within the grouplabel cell (<td>)
  • uses "position:relative;" for the whole grouplabel cell (<td>)
  • uses position:absolute; for each marker (<td>)
  • position is determined by the bottom, top, left and right CSS properties
    • top:8em; moves top margin 8em from default position (i.e. shifts down); likewise bottom shifts up .
    • left:3em; moves left margin 3em (i.e. shifts right); likewise right shifts left.

Using an HTML table within grouplabel

• Proof of principle demo of table nested in grouplabel (mimics barlabel template functionality)
  • intent: use template for this table (avoid parameters with two levels in indices)
• Note that the group label cells are sister cells to those containing clade elements so won't break the structure, although those nested in the structure could stretch outer sections.
