My topic is the 1838 San Andreas Earthquake, in which I will be analyzing sources to articulate more on the existing article as it has brief information. I will be focused on finding footage that explains the intensity and magnitude that impacted the local residents and coastal regions nearby such as Monterey et al. Since there is no reported fatalities, I would be researching the destruction of infrastructure involved during the 6.2-7 magnitude earthquake.

Article Analysis
It just states magnitude of the earthquake and the name of the rupture that ran through the city of Monterrey.
It does identify the fault slip as 1.5 meters (5.0 feet), but doesn't have an image to visual representation of the slip for readers to understand. There is also uncertainty of a previous earthquake that had struck before the 1838, as reporters from references have believed that the prior earthquake in 1936 was actually the 1938 after shock earthquake. There is no accurate confirmation. Therefore, i would have to research through encyclopedias and other sources that have records of 17 century earthquakes.
