Project

Work started in 2013 and was completed in 2018.[1][2] From 5 January 2015 until 20 May 2018, all Thameslink through trains were diverted via Herne Hill and did not call at London Bridge.[3] Thameslink services remained in operation from London Bridge to Brighton via Gatwick Airport with 2 trains per hour.

Other major redevelopment plans happened at Birmingham New Street and Reading. Waterloo has reopened the ex-Eurostar platforms in 2019.
