Brent M. Longnecker (born May 22, 1956) is an author and CEO of Longnecker and Associates, a management consulting firm based out of Houston, Texas[1]. He has published books with both WorldatWork and CCH (Commerce Clearing House) on topics such as stock options, restricted stock, and executive pay. In 2005, Brent Longnecker was selected by Consulting Magazine[2] as one of the Top 25 Consultants in the United States.[3]. He currently serves as a director with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).

Education

Longnecker graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Houston in 1977 with a degree in business marketing and finance and was a member of The Beta Gamma Sigma fraternity. He continued his education at The University of Houston and received his master of business administration with a focus on business management and human resources.

Board of Directorships

Brent Longnecker currently serves as the Compensation committee Chairman for Amreit of Houston and Momentum Healthcare of Maryland.[4]. On March 22, 2010, Brent Longnecker was elected to the board of directors at ATP Oil and Gas.[5]

In 2007, Brent Longnecker attended a classroom discussion led by professors Jay W. Lorsch, V.G. Narayanan, and Krishna G Palepu at The Harvard School of Business entitled "Compensation Committees: New Challenges, New Solutions."[6] From April 7-10, 2010, Brent was asked to return to Harvard to attend another discussion led by the same professors entitled "Making Corporate Boards More Effective."[7]
