Public toilets in Romania are few, and often located at petrol stations and train stations. They often do not have toilet paper and charge a fee of around L1-2.
Public toilets
editThe local words for toilet are toaletá and WC.[1][2] Men's toilets are called barba i. Women's toilets are called femei.[3]
A 2021 study found there was one public toilet per 100,000 people.[4] A common place to find public toilets are petrol stations and train stations.[3][1] Toilet paper is not commonly available at public toilets.[3][2] Many public toilets require payment to use, with a fee of around L1-2.[3][2]
Homestays with four or five daisies indicate that the rooms have private bathrooms with a toilet and shower or bath. Those with one or two daises do not have en suite toilets.[1]
