1. Hi everyone! I'm a student at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash and am studying Political Science. I love music, poetry, art, and politics. I can not wait to start using Wikipedia to contribute to the overwhelming amount of information which it has.
2. The Five Pillars include
1. Wikipedia is solely an encyclopedia, meaning it is not a place where you can voice opinions or try to persuade others to think as you do. It is a collection of information which you add to to further the education of those who use its services. 2. A neutral point of view is necessary in order to be fair and balanced (pardon the Fox News pun). Thus there are no arguments, just cited source facts pertaining to different subjects. 3. Wikipedia is free and the content can be modified or edited. That's the beauty of this web based encyclopedia. Each user should respect their gathered information and not plagiarize. 4. Etiquette and mutual respect is necessary when using and interacting with fellow Wikipedia members. 5. There are no firm rules in Wikipedia.
3. The neutral point of view is essential presenting information in manner which avoids bias and uses reliable sources in order to maintain a neutral point of view throughout the research and material.
4. No original research essentially bans and prohibits the use of information that lacks a credible source.
5. The Verifiability policy is the readers verifying the information which is published through checking to see if sources are credible as well as edit and enhance the published article.
