Karen Krizanovich is a journalist, writer, film researcher and broadcaster based in the United Kingdom.
Karen Krizanovich came to prominence in the 1990s as Sky Magazine's[1] sarcastic advice columnist "Dear Karen"[2][3]. She continues to work as a journalist and broadcaster. She is also a film researcher with credits on various movies including Gravity (2013)[4]. Dear Karen is mentioned in the lyrics of the Manic Street Preachers' song about anorexia called [4st 7lbs][5][6]
In 2010, Krizanovich conceived, researched and presented a Whistledown Production/BBC Radio 4's radio documentary. Svelte Sylvia and the Hollywood Trimsters[7] focused on ‘Sylvia of Hollywood’, an early fitness and diet specialist for the American film industry.
Karen Krizanovich is also the author of The Infographic Guide to the Movies[8].
