Kaiserkillers are a garage punk band based in England. The name derives from the Beatles’ Hamburg residence, the Kaiser Keller; ie ‘a killer set at the Kaiser Keller’.

The band comprises multi instrumentalists, Johnny Zero and Andy deForest. Zero is the lead vocalist.

Kaiserkillers’ first release in July 2021 was ‘Saints Preserve Us’, a song largely dedicated to calling out Prime Minister Johnson for his incessant lying.

The second single from September 2021, ‘Love Conquers All’, was a lament to the stupidity and short sightedness of Brexit.

The third single (October 21), deviated from the political and told the story of an epic road trip across America; playing a few gigs along the way.

A fourth release, ‘Don’t Be a Stranger (Than You Already Are)’ is planned for release early in 2022.

The band has its origins in UK punk rock, but their sound has been described by DJ Julie Hamill as having “…a real mod vibe”. A Northern Soul feel has also been attributed to their output.

Johnny and Andy have previously been bandmates in the Isolationists and Martin’s Dad in the 80s and 90s, with Johnny also being singer with Chaos Bros, the Dancing Bees, the MC4s, Harold Wilson’s Lawnmower, Revenge Rockers and Krankhaus.
