The Indie Secret Records is an independent record label based in the community of Pentwater, Michigan. The artists that contribute to its projects share a desire to enhance the lives of those around them through their love and passion for the music they create and the profound effect it can have on those who experience it.
History
editIn the summer of 2009, West Michigan's newest record label came into existence, in Pentwater, Michigan, a quaint little town on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. After remodeling an old apartment in Pentwater, Daniel Nugent created The Spare Room Studio, and The Indie Secret Records was born. The studio can produce high end professional recordings and the space also houses The Indie Secret Records office. The studio's first compilation album "Songs for a Pentwater Summer" featuring twelve local musicians was released in the summer of 2009. It's second release came in December of 2009, just in time for the holidays - Pentwater Bands Present: A Pentwater Christmas". Indie Secret likes to work together for the good of everyone, and sees itself as a "co-op", helping get the word out about good music, where both artist and studio will benefit from hard work.
