David Kyle Foster Dr. David Kyle Foster is the Executive Director of Mastering Life Ministries (aka Pure Passion Media) - a nonprofit that has produced several radio programs (Believer's Choice: A Christian Perspective on the Movies; Mastering Life; Faith of Our Fathers), a television program (Pure Passion) and several documentary films (Such Were Some of You; How Do You Like Me Now?). Biography
For 12 years a Priest and Canon in the Charismatic Episcopal Church, Foster is the son of four generations of [[1]] pastors, including James Mitchell Foster, a prolific author of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries among Covenanters. Since 2007, David has been ordained with Grace Chapel, a member of the Calvary Chapel network of churches.
Foster is a graduate of Eckerd College (B.A. - Poli Sci); Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M-Div) and Trinity School for Ministry (D-Min).
After college, he moved to [[2]] to act in commercials, TV and film productions under the stage name "David Kyle". His first film role was as "Cat Murkil" in the Pine-Thomas production of "Cat Murkil & the Silks", followed by another starring role in the NBC Movie-of-the-Week, "The Great Cash Giveaway Getaway" where he played Jim Hicks - a teenager who steals big money from his mean step-father and gives it away to poor people. Foster also had lead roles in seven national TV commercials and featured roles in Murder in Peyton Place and the first Halloween during his seven years in show business before leaving Hollywood to attend seminary in 1980.2[1]
Foster is most known for turning his own problem with sexual addiction3http://www.precious-testimonies.com/TestimonyCategories/SameSexEmotions/DavidFoster.htm into a 30+ year Christian ministry to sexually broken people with an emphasis on an intimate relationship with God the Father as the key to freedom from any form of sexual bondage.4[2]
