The Elite Fantasy Hockey League (EFHL; French: ligue de hockey fantastique d'élite, LHFE) is a fantasy ice hockey league in North America comprising 16 teams. The currently unnamed championship trophy is awarded annually to the league playoff champion at the end of each season. The EFHL is considered to be one of the top-ranked fantasy ice hockey league in the world. The EFHL, whose commissioner is Mario Pinard is headquartered in The Shedquarters in Aylmer, Québec.

History

Capital Dynasty Hockey League

The EFHL was born from the ashes of the Capital Dynasty Hockey League (CDHL) which was also developed and operated by Pinard. The CDHL consisted of 10 teams and was in operation from 2014 to 2016 via ProBoards. It folded as a result of _______. Teams that were members of the CDHL are as follows:

2017-18 to 2018-19 Offseason:

• The Glasgow Wolves were sold to Richard Young and were subsequently rebranded to the Ramea Island Growlers

2018-19 to 2019-20 Offseason:

• The New England Whalers rebranded to the Massachusetts Spitfires
• The Dublin Warriors were sold to Alex Fontaine and were subsequently rebranded to the St. Lawrence Vikings

2019-20 to 2020-21 Offseason:

• The Ottawa Knights rebranded to the Burnaby Falcons

2023-24 to 2024-25 Offseason:

• The Roswell Invaders rebranded temporarily to the Aylmer Hockey Club (HC), and subsequently to the TBD
