Gintong Parangal para sa Makabagong Mamamahayag is an inter-school competition from the Kung Kaya Mo, Kaya Natin Ito Productions that will run from August 2010 - March 2011. All mass communication students within Metro Manila, Philippines are invited to participate in this competition. Participants are asked to create a 3-minutes radio segment that must be in accordance to the categories.

edit“Kung Kaya Mo, Kaya Natin Ito Production” focuses on the development of the Filipino nation. The production's aim is to create people worthy of emulation. It also emphasizes the importance of technical-vocational courses as an alternative to economic upliftment. It seeks to inspire and motivate the Filipino citizens in becoming the best they could be in every endeavor they pursue. Thus, the production would like to support the President in his advocacy for a transparent, honest, and upright nation.
It is the official media partner of TESDA and recognized by the Office of the Press Secretary, Republic of the Philippines.
The production, Kung Kaya Mo Kaya Natin Ito, broadcasts on three major radio stations namely DZME 1530kHz, DWDD 1134kHz, and DZRJ 810kHz. It could also be heard globally through live online streaming.
Contest Mechanics
edit- This is an inter-school competition wherein all mass communication students within metro-manila are invited to participate.
- Students could enter the contest individually or by group.
- Group contestants must not exceed five (5) group members. They must assign one director, one or two voice talents, one scriptwriter, and one editor. Each team must choose their own mentor. The mentor could be any person within the academe department of their school.
- The radio program must be in accordance with the categories
- Students are welcome to come up with their own creative ways in executing their programs.
- Contestants could send in different entries for different categories. They could send as many entries as they want.
- The radio program could be in English or Tagalog. No taglish.
- Contestants must send their entries together with the registration form available at www.kayanatinito.com on or before the following deadlines. This is a monthly contest. There will be an awarding every month for those who reached the cut-off date.
- Winners for each month will be automatically entered as participants for the Grand Finals which will be on MARCH 13, 2011. The grand winner will receive the GINTONG PARANGAL PARA SA MAKABAGONG MAMAMAHAYAG award.
