Outline
editReminder: this can't be JUST about the URA as much as I want it to be.
Broad topics:
- Scope of projects
- Types of work each project focuses on (this is obvious because it's in the name but...w/e)
- Quotes (dare I say interviews???) with editors who are active in these projects (Stubs guy, Joe from Orphanage, Cacti?) about why they are interested in this work, frustrations (DRIVE BY TAGGING), policy changes/access to tools that might be helpful, success stories?
- This is delicate - comparisons to other, topic-specific projects (kinda want to compare to the NPP as the granddaddy of the WFPs but....that might rub people the wrong way).
Notes
editMain projects to highlight: WP:Orphanage, WP:URA, WP:RESCUE, Stub improvement, etc.
- Many of these projects are inactive or semi-active yet they do some of the most essential work in improving the encyclopedia in terms of maintenance (i.e. adding geocoordinates) and article content and quality.
- Challenges: often are not topic-specific and the filter options are limited, difficult to use, and clunky. Previously WP:Hawaii had a tag for articles that were unreferenced so it was possible to look through those if one were very interested in Hawai'i but those tags need to be updated and used regularly for that to be an effective system.
- Can some of this be automated? What is/isn't getting past AfC vs. NPP? Deletion options? Admin support? Clarification on what does and doesn't need a reference (WP:LISTVERIFY), link finding tools for de-orphaning, etc.
