Ling (Beisecker) Yang Ling Yang is the fist athlete to represent China in the World Equestrian Games. Yang Ling was born on April 27, 1991 in Nantong, China. Adopted at age 3, she moved to Blacksburg, Virginia and began her training in the equestrian sport of horse vaulting. With 58 countries represented, Ling carried the Chinese flag at the AllTech World Equstrian Games held in Lexngton, KY September 25 through October 10, 2010. The World Equestrian Games crown the equestrian champions in eight equestrian sports and are held every 4 years. The 2010 AllTech World Equestrian Games are the first time this major event has been held in North America and included 632 athletes, 752 horses, and 506,000 spectators.
