Bhusal (Nepali: भुसाल / भुषाल) is commonly used South Asian surname, mostly used in Nepal. Bhusal are from Brahmin caste of Hindu religion and within the caste they have different sub-divisions.
Types of Bhusal
editThere are two types of Bhusal in Nepal.
- Bhusal with Dhananjaya Gotra
- Bhusal with Basistha Gotra.
There is no marriages between two closely related (blood related) 1 family in Nepal. They also don't marry between same 2. But Bhusal with different gotra get married.
Ancestors and Migration
editBhusal with Dhananjaya gotra ancestors were migrated from India as early as 11 century. Rise of Muslim in India and forcing people to change religion made them to leave India. They settled in Arghakhanchi of Nepal during that time. Now, Bhusal live in Nepal, India, Burma, Europe, US and other part of the world.
