Edward Keith S. Beduya (born on February 12, 1981), is a known Dentist in the Philippines that treat Temporomandibular Joint Disorders.

Medical Training

Beduya earned an Associate in Arts from the School of Science in Centro Escolar University, Mendiola, Manila in 1999. He attended the Centro Escolar University School of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2003. He took the National Board Examination conducted by the Professional Regulations Commission in Manila, Philippines on the same year and passed both theoretical and practical parts with high satisfactory remarks [81.11%]. He obtained a Post-Graduate Certification in Periodontics from St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippines, in 2004.

Beduya trained in TMJ Institute of Manila, equivalent to the TMJ Institute of America by Dr. Witzig at the Fandialan Clinic in Commonwealth, Quezon City, Philippines where he obtained his Post-Graduate Certification in Basic and Advance Training in TMJ Disorders and Craniofacial Pain and Management, Orthodontics and Prosthodontics.

Beduya is a speaker and guest lecturer for TMJ Disorders in Doctors Online, a radio program aired by 702 DZAS Station. He is also a Consultant to TMJ Disorders and Craniofacial Pain to several clinics in the Metropolitan such as JaPedia Polyclinics in Pasay, Instituto Estetico Manila in Makati, Tooth Avenue Dental Center in Manila and DenStein Dental Centre in Quezon City.

Beduya is a member of the following organizations: Philippine Dental Association, Manila Dental Society, Asian-American Academy of Functional Orthodontics and TMJ (AAAFOT), Philippine Academy of Functional Jaw Orthopedics and TMJ (PAFJO TMJ)and American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP).

Beduya is also an active proponent of Philippine medical tourism and dental tourism. He is a contributor to RxPinoy Doctors Health Digest and serving as a Consultant to TMJ Disorders, Orthodontics and Prosthodontics.

School Life

Dr. Beduya finished his primary and secondary studies in both public schools. Rivera Village Elementary School or RVES for his primary education and Pasay City East High School or PCEHS for the Secondary. He started to become active in school activities during high school when he founded Kameradare Foto Club Pasay Chapter where he also served as the first Chapter President. He won several quiz bee contests such as Best in Current Events and represented several inter-school contests.

Beduya is a Consistent Dean's Lister and has been awarded with two scholarships during college, University Scholarship on 1998 and 1999 and Centro Escolar University Alumni Foundation Scholarship on 2002.

Keith fondly called "Kit" by his classmates has been elected to Student Council as an Auditor and a year later elected as President of Dental Clinicians Club for two consecutive terms. He has also been appointed as an Editor-In-Chief of The Rose and the Leaf, the official yearbook of the school.

Several nominations and awards has been given to him such as Most Outstanding Officer, Most Outstanding Student and Gold Medalist for Extra-Curricular Activities for CEU graduating class of 2003.

Employment

After passing the national board examination, he worked in St. Luke's Medical Center as an Assistant Dentist under the supervision of a known Orthodontist, Dr. Joel Ferrer who later appointed him as an Associate Dentist on 2005. On 2005, a newly opened multi-specialty clinic Perfect Teeth Dental Center in SM Sucat Parañaque hired Dr. Beduya as a Deputy Head Dentist. He handled the Periodontics, Prosthodontics and Implant Section.

Private Practice

Beduya is the Clinical Director of DenStein Dental Centre, founded on 2007 and the Chief-Of-Clinics of Tooth Avenue Dental Center, established on 2006. Both of which clinics he serves as a Consultant for TMJ Disorders and Craniofacial Pain. He co-owned the Denstein Dental Center Company and The Manila Dental Republic Oral Health Center Company.

Private Life

Beduya is the youngest son of the late Eduardo Galon Beduya and Paz Sabang Beduya. Jose Loyola Sabang Sr. is his late grandfather and a former councilor of Danao City, Cebu and he is also related to the late Congressman of Cebu, Gaudencio Beduya.
