Map of the Tour Aotearoa bikepacking route

Tour Aotearoa is a New Zealand mixed terrain cycle touring (bikepacking) route stretching 3,000 kilometres (1,900 mi) from Cape Reinga to Bluff down the length of the country. It is made up of a mixture of cycle trails, mountain bike tracks, and quiet back roads. Cycling the route generally takes three to five weeks.

The route was designed by Jonathan Kennett in 2016[1] as a way to piece together the newly constructed New Zealand Cycle Trail projects with quiet backroads.

Tour Aotearoa follows public trails and roads so is open to the public all year round.

The route is also used by the annual Tour Aotearoa Brevet event where participants are encouraged to ride the route in 10 to 30 days.
