Matthew Wade Schwachman, also known as My Silent Bravery, is an American songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist.
Biography
editMatthew Wade Schwachman was born in Boston, Massachusetts, where his father was a residential real estate broker and his mother a makeup artist for Chanel. His family moved to Worcester, Massachusetts, and he attended high school at the Bancroft School, where he learned to play guitar for a senior project. Shortly thereafter, he wrote his first song, "Side of the Road." He continued to play guitar and write throughout high school and while in college at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Shwachman spent his senior year studying in Australia. While there, he sustained a sports-related injury, which affected his neck and back. Over the next several years, back in the United States, he unsuccessfully attempted to treat the injury through traditional and alternative medicines. In 2005, he was introduced to Kabbalah, which he credits for alleviating his physical pain, and prompting a "transformation..."
In 2005, Schwachman released his first album, Uncharted Territory, on his own label, MSW Records. As a result, put out first album “Uncharted Terriitory. Uncharted Territory got first placement on one tree hill – started to get television licensing placements MTv REAL WORLD series toured in 2008 untiil 2010 he did 300 shows in three years. America primarily north east. Didn’t know what he was doing threw himself head first just pursued it and didn’t have a game plan and wanted to be successful at it no other way than to go out and find - put together a band and toured together for those three years.
