Incorrect links in Chip log, fi:Tukki (puu) and sv:Stock
editPlease do not add incorrect iw-links. These links were corrected just in the previous edit. There is an explanation in edit summary of why these links are wrong. I corrected Chip log and fi:Tukki (puu). There might be wrong links also in other wikipedias. --AB-fi 01:07, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Automated message to bot owners
editAs a result of discussion on the village pump and mailing list, bots are now allowed to edit up to 15 times per minute. The following is the new text regarding bot edit rates from Wikipedia:Bot Policy:
Until new bots are accepted they should wait 30-60 seconds between edits, so as to not clog the recent changes list and user watchlists. After being accepted and a bureaucrat has marked them as a bot, they can edit at a much faster pace. Bots doing non-urgent tasks should edit approximately once every ten seconds, while bots who would benefit from faster editing may edit approximately once every every four seconds.
Also, to eliminate the need to spam the bot talk pages, please add Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard to your watchlist. Future messages which affect bot owners will be posted there. Thank you. --Mets501 05:11, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Replaced a perfectly valid link to ja:マブラヴ with one to zh:マブラヴ オルタネイティヴ. Please ensure that this does happen again. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Omgwtflolz (talk • contribs) 08:13, 22 February 2007 (UTC).
- I don't know what this user is complaining about, because I only see an addition, not a replacement, in that page's edit history. - furrykef (Talk at me) 00:18, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
EarthBound / Mother 2
editWhy was the link ja:MOTHER2 ギーグの逆襲 removed from EarthBound? That's the most important interwiki link of the bunch! You bots should be a little more careful ;) - furrykef (Talk at me) 00:59, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Deutsche Bank (Double Interwiki)
editHi, the bot changed the Interwikilink doubled. --Athalis 18:16, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Duncan Campbell (investigative journalist)
editYour bot has added a link to de:Duncan Campbell which is wrong. That page is about a different person. I deleted the link but your bot just made the same link again. Please stop it. Harumphy 08:55, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
en:Pentagram and seem to be appropriate interwiki links for each other; however your bot didn't think so. I've added the interwiki back to the English article. Fuzzypeg☻ 00:00, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Ferdinand
editShouldn't Ferdinand link to instead of , as the bot insists? (For some reason the German Wikipedia has separate articles for these forms of the same name). http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ferdinand&diff=111860136&oldid=111494591 SamEV 19:13, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
French / Français
editYour bot keeps modifying the iw-link in French from to . It should direct to , and so maybe your bot shouldn't mess with that one any more? Cheeser1 03:28, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Mini
editYou bot keeps adding 'ca:Mini' to the English Wikipedia article Mini - unfortunately, the ca: article appears to be about some kind of lead-based chemical and the english article is about a car. I reverted it once - but now it's come along and done it again. Please stop it from doing this - it's very counter-productive! SteveBaker 00:51, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
I deleted the link to the French Wikipedia article on 8 March 2007 because it appeared to refer to specifically the colony of French Algeria, and not (as in the English article) the slogan Algérie française. But apparently, it's back... reverted or whatever by the bot yesterday. Please make sure your bot doesn't do this sort of thing again. --Micahbrwn 13:53, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
This was invalid. Pavel Vozenilek 18:51, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi! Your bot just removed all the transwiki links to Andrea. Is there a reason for this? Jokestress 19:12, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Arojona is a municipality in Colombia. some of those interwikis are not accurate.--I am greener than you! (Lima - Charlie - Over) 19:12, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
I notice the bot changed Indigo so that the link to the German WP went to the instead of the . My guess is this is related to the fact that some of the pages for Indigo on some language sites cover both the dye and the color, while other have them as separate articles. PaleAqua 17:47, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Mo-wiki
editPlease, don't add interwikies to mo:, it is locked, and we cannot fix problems with it. For example mo:Татарстан has wrong iwiki to es:, and your bot distribute this error in all wikipedias. MaxiMaxiMax 14:50, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Stay Hungry
editMost of the inter-language links to Stay Hungry are actually pointing to articles about Stay Hungry (album). I've reverted the error twice now. --Dystopos 17:03, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- I have now reverted the bots erroneous edits 3 times. I'll lay off now, but please adjust the bot's behavior. --Dystopos 18:21, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
bot conflict
editHi, your bot seems to have a conflict with 3 other bots about which Greek wikipedia page to link to on the [Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel] page. You will conquer the Earth with this immense power. Use it wisely my friend. Want to check it out? Franklin Dmitryev 12:16, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Hoy
editYou have interwiki'd the Turkish page for a place in Azerbaijan , called Hoy in Turkish, Khoy in English with multiple other language pages for the place Hoy in Scotland. Do you have an easy way to undo them? Thanks--JBellis 19:46, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Chinese Language links problems
editIt seems that your robot has wrongly remove some language link (Chinese). This is probably due to the Traditional and Simplified Chinese confusion problem. The problem is, when the link is typed in Simplified version, but the actual article title is traditional version, your robot will remove this link. (The Chinese Wikipedia system can automatically translated to the appropriate version). This would make many chinese link in English wikipedia removed. This will cause a problem, because people does not know the article already has chinese version and will start their work (Chinese also have synonym problem) causing duplicate contents. I really hope that this bugs can be fixed or can disable the robot to remove "inappropriate" chinese links (if not going to fix) to prevent language link lost. Joe3600 15:58, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
The bot removed fr:Blasonnement from the Blazon page. I have put it back. --EncycloPetey 23:24, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
Garrigues
editI am currently proposing that the Garrigues page should be replaced by the content now found on the Garrigues (disambiguation) page and the the material presently on the Garrigues page should be moved to a new page to be titled Les Garrigues, Catalonia If you have the time I would appreciate your comments on the Discussion page at Garrigues. I hope you will agree. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 19:54, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Shiba Inu
editRegarding the edit to the Shiba Inu page. The bot appears to have malfunctioned. The edit has been reverted and this is a few days old but it may be prudent to be on the lookout for similar mistakes.--Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 13:15, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Thijs!bot on English WP
editCould your bot stop trying to add interwiki links to the English WP article Haydée. None of the foreign pages linked refer to the same subject, although they have the same title. Thanks in advance. --Folantin (talk) 18:48, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Thank you!
editYour Bot created an interwiki link to the Spanish article (Mérida Initiative) that I missed previously. Very good! Thank you. BatteryIncluded (talk) 18:12, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Alphabet?
editHello, I'm slightly puzzled at your bot's edit here, where it moved the it
interwiki, and put it out of alphabetical order. Although this is not a serious issue, it is just puzzling why it did it. +mt 02:02, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello, can you fix some interwikis?
editThis page — Wikipedia:Deletion policy, the translations don't have the interwiki links. for example, two years before, the english project had links to other 12 languages – [1]. The italian one had links to only 4 – [2]. Today the italian project still has only 4 links. Thanks Ark25 (talk) 03:10, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Bad edits
editWhat happened with this series of edits? [3] [4] [5]? The bot removed a valid link, changed the he: link, and then changed the he: link back. This is not the first time the bot has wrongly removed the zh link from this page. --EncycloPetey (talk) 02:13, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Billion
editThis edit seems incorrect where it removes 18 of 20 interwikis from Billion. I'm reverting it. —EncMstr (talk) 02:15, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Bot added link to de. article on Liam Gillick! [6] Ty 03:29, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Omission of topics in Ashperic Lenses
editWhen unique info in rare encyclopedic content is omitted, very few numbers of health care professionals interested in looking for ways to treat near blindness can't find it. More bad edits
editMessed up divide, adding random links and a table. Judging from the number of bad edits maybe you should turn the bot off? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.198.65.237 (talk) 12:53, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

thank you very much for this super fast looking and correcting my first english article ! hope that it is not toooo much work for you and all wikipedians - best wishes from a cloudy Cologne / Germany :-) --CologneGer (talk) 09:34, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
I reinsert the Creek translation in the Church page: ref's Google translate, Babel and Oxford English to Greek dictionary. I see no reason, why the bot removed it from the page.
It looks like User:Thijs!bot has many, many problems, including some that are totally unreasonable (e.g., removing interwiki links, or replacing the correct interwiki link with a wrong one (again). So I think you should just turn off this bot and keep it turned off until someone is able to review its code and figure out what's wrong.
However, I originally came here to complain about itoa. It's in the interesting situation that the English article on itoa has nothing to do with most other wikis' articles on the Itoa botanical genus. So itoa has had bogus iw links added by LeonardoRob0t, Roboto de Ajvol, and finally Thijs!bot.
So my first question is, why are there so many interwiki bots running around here? There should be at most one bot per language.
My suggestion was going to be (before I realized how error-prone your particular bot was): Thijs!bot should recognize interwiki links inside HTML comments, and not re-add any commented-out interwiki links. That way, humans can have some kind of input to the bot, and the bot won't keep fighting us. (But really, consider just turning it off.) --Quuxplusone (talk) 22:18, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
