Carlton Strong Carlton Strong was an architect active in Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding communities from around 1906 until his death in 1931. While Strong began worked initially in secular projects, during the latter half of his career he made his name designing designing ecclesiastical (particularly Roman Catholic) buildings.
