Engine
editThe Elbegdorj is powered by a 5.0 L Ford Coyote V8, connected to an 8-speed ZF 8HP, for better fuel economy, also found on most BMWs, Audis, Land Rovers (Range Rover), Jaguar among other cars. The engine is twin-supercharged. Its superchargers made in Germany, and are shipped to Mongolia. They left the factory as naturally aspirated engines, and Chinggis Khaan Motors installs superchargers later. It produces 1,500 hp (1,100 kW; 1,500 PS) at 5,500 rpm, and 2,000 newton meters of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine specifically tuned by Chinggis Khaan Motors to produce 1,500 hp, to commemorate the Pedro Álvares Cabral's 515th arrival to Brazil. All engines have Valeo twin-plate clutch, made in France.
