Army Public School, Jodhpur moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Army Public School, Jodhpur, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Please see the school article guidelines which describes how the content of school articles should be organized, with the aim of providing general guidance to editors. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Shaunak Chakraborty
editA tag has been placed on Shaunak Chakraborty requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
desperate attempt of advertisement, has already been deleted twice through WP:AFD.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ~ Nahid Talk 04:57, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

CSD tagging
editHi, I just wanted to let you know that "it's a useless article" (your tagging of Boondocks Gang) is not a valid criterion for speedy deletion. Pages are not speedy deleted because someone believes them to be useless—this is highly subjective and does not necessarily reflect the content. They may only be speedily deleted if they unambiguously meet one of the criteria, which are very rigidly defined.
In this case, the correct criterion was A7 (no credible claim of significance), as that article's only content was a statement of what this band is, so I replaced your tag with this. I see you haven't been around for very long, so I advise you to thoroughly read through the speedy deletion criteria and this essay before considering tagging any more articles. Feel free to ask me or another user if you have any questions. ComplexRational (talk) 20:44, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
- I seem to have observed the same problem with incorrect tagging at Khan Joynul which led to an edit war but it was before the date of this warning. Please be very careful to tag articles correctly and appropriately or it will cause problems and do not get into an edit war. Thankyou.Djm-leighpark (talk) 10:25, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 16
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
- Jeff Nixon (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)
- added a link pointing to American
- Karl-Anthony Towns (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)

surname pages
editHallo, I've reverted your two changes to Mackrory because they go against the normal style. I cited WP:MOSDAB, but it's actually a surname page not a disambiguation page, but the same rules apply. PamD 10:23, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
Ok, I got it. It was my fault, I think the word starts with capital letter. Kitaab Ka Kida (talk) 10:25, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
CSD & AFD
editYour recent tags for deletion were a little more free-form than English wiki is used to. The reasons for speedily deleting an article through CSD are strictly limited to certain criteria - WP:CSD. Your AFD nomination was also flawed.
As early efforts at doing the job manually they're admirable for the effort you put in... BUT you could have achieved the result more effectively and accurately if you'd used one of the tools to do the job. I use WP:Twinkle
- Preferences → Gadgets → Twinkle: add menu buttons to automate common tasks, including: reporting vandalism, warning vandals, requesting deletion or protection, welcoming users, and tagging articles
some other users prefer WP:Huggle. Hope that helps, Cabayi (talk) 10:30, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

Editing
editPlease take the time to look at the standard layout for articles instead of making changes to the lead sentence as you did here. Please also note that major countries should not be linked - see MOS:OVERLINK. There is a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia but it's an interesting journey. Just slow down a little and take care not to make changes away from the correct style. Thanks. PamD 10:50, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- Okk, I am learning Wikipedia so please forgive me. Kitaab Ka Kida (talk) 10:52, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, we all make mistakes at first, just go slowly and learn. There's a more precise tag {{BLP sources}} to use on a BLP article instead of {{refimprove}}. Always more to learn! PamD 11:08, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- This wasn't a stub, but if you are going to add {{stub}} please put it in the right place, at the very end of the article. See WP:ORDER. Thanks. PamD 11:17, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hammercloth was adequately sourced, I think. Refs at paragraph end are fine, and the lead section does not need references. The opening "A hammercloth is ..." is much better than "Hammercloth is... " because the second version reads as if "Hammercloth" is a kind of fabric, like "silk" or "linen", rather than an object like "a blanket". I've reverted your changes, though I agree with the carry/carries change. PamD 11:22, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- To change {{reflist}} to {{Reflist}}, as some editors do, is correct but unnecessary and just clutters people's watchlists. To change in the other direction as you do is positively wrong, though trivial, but please stop doing so.
- The article title is The Twins, Hong Kong, but unless you know that this is the name always used for them you should not change the bolded lead name to match that disambiguated title. Someone else has already reverted you. Sorry, but it was not a "correction". PamD 11:31, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- Moving Draft:Rodrigo Barriuso to draft within half an hour of its creation was probably not the best thing to do with it: you could have tagged it for BLPProd. As it is, the article has been created again so there is now a spare draft cluttering up the system. And looking at the article more carefully I found it to be a copyvio, entirely lifed from the person's website at https://www.rodrigobarriuso.com/home, so I have tagged it for speedy deletion anyway. (I googled the words "challenged as she faces Alzheimer's in a transphobic", which just sounded as if they were not written for Wikipedia, and found the whole thing!). PamD 11:41, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- I moved Education City station back from draft ... but then decided you were probably right to draftify it as it needed quite a bit of tidying up and the editor has had a pattern of creating rubbishy drafts in mainspace. I've left a note on his/her talk page too. PamD 11:56, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- And Emmuraillé Lake (Sagard) had references, just not presented in a standard way. I've reverted your changes and made others, to standardise the article. More importantly I checked to see if there was anything at Emmuraillé Lake. There wasn't, and a search showed this to be the only lake of that name mentioned in the encyclopedia (I think!), so I have made a redirect. I haven't checked the rules for naming articles on Canadian lakes, to see whether this lake should be at the basic name, but getting a redirect in place is important. If there had been another, it might have been a case of adding a hatnote or a disambiguation page entry. Whenever you're checking a page which has a disambiguated title, it's worth looking at the basic title to check that there is a route from there to the article in front of you. It helps the readers, and it makes it less likely that someone will create an accidental duplicate article. PamD 12:10, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- Mateaki Kafatolu is a solid little stub, with sources, so needn't have gone to draft: I've moved it back. I've improved the tag. But if you are moving something to draft, remember to remove the stub tag and remove or add a ":" to any categories: I expected to have to clean this article up on returning it to article space, but didn't have to. Go carefully on moving items to draft, but do it properly if you do so. Thanks. PamD 12:20, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- I've had a quick look at many of your edits, and commented on whatever little problems I've found, because you are clearly here to improve the encyclopedia but need to learn a few points along the way. I hope I've been clear and helpful. Enjoy your editing! PamD 12:20, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Sebastián Barriuso
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Sebastián Barriuso, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
Speedy deletion nomination of Rodrigo Barriuso
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rodrigo Barriuso requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.rodrigobarriuso.com/home. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
PamD 11:37, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

Drive-by tagging
editHi. Please read the documentation here on the template you are adding. It states "Some editors understand this template to be redundant when it is used on articles clearly marked as stubs, since by definition stubs are unlikely to be well referenced", so an edit such as this is redundant. editInterference at AfD's
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Khan Joynul. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Do not interfere with outs votes as you did at an AfD you yourself nominated. Especially when they are opposing your nomination. I am almost at a total loss to understand this edit [1] were it not for the mistakes I too have made in the past. Luckily I judge it more of a lack of WP:COMPETENCY rather than malicious. Thankyou Djm-leighpark (talk) 07:44, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Dating tags
editPlease do not change the date in a tag like {{empty section}} as you did here. It is often useful to be able to say "Tagged as ... since date...". Changing the date of the tag is wrong.
If it's a tag like {{Use British English}} it is fine to change the date if you have checked through the article and made any necessary changes to bring the article in line with the instruction. But not otherwise. Thanks. PamD 08:40, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Okk Got it 100% Kitaab Ka Kida (talk) 09:03, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
The article Raju Odedra has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Lacks notability, fails WP:BIO. The nettv4u site is a wiki, not a reliable source; and there seem to be no indepth sources about him otherwise, just some passing mentions.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fram (talk) 08:42, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Nomination of Raju Odedra for deletion
editA discussion is taking place as to whether the article Raju Odedra is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Raju Odedra until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Fram (talk) 09:28, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Removing comments
editHi, it is not the best practice to remove old comments in any discussion, because meaning may be lost. It is better to strike older comment and make a new one eg.: My old and now obsolete comment. No big deal anyway. Pavlor (talk) 10:30, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Thank you Kitaab Ka Kida (talk) 10:34, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
I had done it Kitaab Ka Kida (talk) 10:52, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for restoring and striking that comment rather than simply removing. Every time you make a mistake and learn something ... and quite frankly the only way I've ever got anything right is by trying it and doing it wrong. Couple more hints ... if your article ever gets WP:PROD'd dont panic and deprod it straight away .... see if you can sort the problem first by e.g. adding references and then deprod it. Even simply waiting 5 days before dePRODing or simply letting it go as an expired PROD eligible for WP:REFUND is better than immediately dePRODing and getting taken straight to AfD. Also if marking articles at stubs, and in my view one article improved is worth more than fifty marked as stubs, try to marked it with a more specific stub per WP:TAGSTUB/WP:SST, e.g. Template:India-rail-transport-stub rather than simply Template:Stub. And I remain infinitely curious as to why on your user page you have [[:Template:Irishnoticeboard}] on your user page but it is really not my business. Best Regards, Djm-leighpark (talk) 11:34, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Thank you Kitaab Ka Kida (talk) 13:00, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Careless editing
editPlease take more care. In these edits, you did three things:
- "Corrected" Refrence list to Refrences. Try again?
- Add {{reflist}} although it already had <references />: not needed.
- Added {{stub}}: go it right for one out of three. ({{UK-law-bio-stub}} would have been better, but there are editors who choose to stub-sort and those who don't.) PamD 14:49, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Okk Thank you Kitaab Ka Kida (talk) 14:51, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Handy hint: "L"
editWhen you're creating, or improving, an article about a person there is a useful shortcut {{L}} which makes it easy to add a DEFAULTSORT, birth date or "missing birth date", death date or Category:Living people. Just type {{subst:L|||Surname, Given names}}
or {{subst:L|birthyear|deathyear|Surname, Given names}}
(or add birth year and leave death year blank, or add missing for death year if absolutely definitely dead). The "subst" and the capital "L" are important. It's a quick way to make several important improvements to any bio article in one line of typing.
PamD 14:49, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Stub tags
editAs I pointed out above (11:17 am, 16 December 2019), {{stub}} must go at the end of the article, not before the categories. (See WP:ORDER) Every time you put it in the wrong place like this you cause more work for a stub-sorter who will have to move it before editing it into a more detailed stub tag. Please slow down and get things right. Thanks. PamD 15:07, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for informing me Kitaab Ka Kida (talk) 16:02, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Carelessness
editYour "correction" left a garbled sentence. Yes, you improved the start of the sentence, but you didn't follow through. Please don't damage the encyclopedia like this. I will now mend the article. PamD 08:48, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of John Corbus
editA tag has been placed on John Corbus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
Why you are telling me this, I don't understand.....? Kitaab Ka Kida (talk) 03:35, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
- Because you moved the article to draft, 2 minutes after its creation, and thereby created this redirect from mainspace to draft. If you don't understand what you are doing, please stop. It was inappropriate to move this article so soon: give the editor a chance, as it is not a problematic article. Tag for notability if you think that's a problem, and move on. PamD 07:48, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
- Notability is not a problem here: he was a Rear admiral (United States), which is a flag officer grade, and see WP:SOLDIER bullet point 2. There was no reason to draftify this article. It is a stub, yes, but the encyclopedia is full of well-sourced stubs for notable people. PamD 08:48, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
