Hi, Kitty! Just wondering, when you say you're a conservative, how do you mean? In a political sense? Are you right wing? I was just looking at other synaesthetes, and (obviously) your name came up, and I noticed your conservative userbox, and I wondered exactly what an american conservative believed! Sergeant Snopake 11/03/06, 19:55

Conservative as in right-wing. We tend to be very moral and straight-laced, hehe. American Conservatism is a good article about it. ^^ Kitty the Random 05:08, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks! The internet really is a great thing, no matter what people say. You can find out, well, anything! Sergeant Snopake 15/03/06, 10:41

Thinking about it, I really could of just looked American Conservatism up, but I was very tired when I posted that on your discussion page! How long have you had synaesthesia? Sergeant Snopake 15/03/06 20:45

Hey, I just discovered that you have the same birthday as my mother's cat! That's awesome! Same again 15/03/06 20:52

How long? Ummmmm...about as long as I can remember. Like, seeing words in colors and tasting colors and visualizing the way sound looks. It's like seeing sound waves. ^^ That's pretty awesome, I have the same birthday as a cat XD Kitty the Random 03:55, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Do you hear sound in colour? I do! I like a song even more if it's a nice colour! Sergeant Snopake 16/03/06 08:41 A.M

Yeh, sometimes. Most rap has an unattractive puke-green color to me, for some reason. Maybe that's why I don't like it? xD Kitty the Random 15:36, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I hate rap, too, it's my least favourite type of music - apart from punk, and I don't mean musicians like The Stranglers who can actually play and write songs, I'm talking about people that just shout obscenities and can't even strum a guitar properly! My favourite type is folk, what's yours? I also saw your ambidextrous userbox. Have you always been ambidextrous, or did you train yourself to be so? I tried a little while ago, but it was too hard! Sergeant Snopake 16/03/06 21:00

I hate rap and death metal, everywhere I go in school I hear someone blowing it out of their earphones. My favorite type...uh, I can't really choose. I'll listen to anything at least once, but my favorites are from the big band and barbershop quartet era all the way up to the alternative from the mid to late 90's. Pretty much everything, actually. And yeah, I've always been able to use both hands well. Kitty the Random 21:09, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. What's high school like? Is it really like it's portrayed in the media? being homeschooled, I've never been to school, so I don't really know what it's like, just what I've read/seen/heard. Do you ever feel that the 'second hand smoke is one of this user's pet peeves' userbox isn't really strong enough? I mean, people die from it. It's more than a pet peeve. Oh, what does being a commie stomper entail?

Hey, what time is it in California? Sergeant Snopake 21:43, 16/03/06

Oh, real high school is not that different than what the movies say. There are different little groups that hang out in different places, like the popular ones over here, the goths/punks/stoners over here, the future prostitutes over here, gamer geeks over here, social rejects over here which is where I am...and there really is a lot of drama. A lot of drama. People make big deals about everything, and depending where you are, someone usually comes to class high. Kitty the Random 21:55, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

And it is...1:55 PM in California right now. Kitty the Random 21:55, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

I do have a "detests tobacco smoke" one...and a commie stomper is a person who is anti-Communism. Kitty the Random 22:01, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I wasn't doing you down or anything about the userbox, I just meant in a general sense! I thinks it's good to have them both up there, smoking should be banned. Sergeant Snopake 22: 12 16/03/06

About the commie stomperism, do you stage protests, etc? That would be cool! Sergeant Snopake 22:30, 16/03/06

No, that's fine XD I didn't think you were doing me down at all. I hate it when people smoke in front of me. If you're going to kill yourself, do it outside.

No, we don't have protests, but if we went to a country that did have communism and protested, we'd probably get run over. XDD Kitty the Random 22:41, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Oh, good, I'm glad you're not offended. Yes, that's probably true about communism (sigh). I recently visited a country (Latvia) that had only stopped being communist 15 years ago, and there are still more russians in Riga than there are Latvians!

Poor Latvia. Communism is just really wrong for the world. Kitty the Random 00:00, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Wow you are the same age as my sister and she would NEVER edit wikipedia. --robz0r 11:42, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Why not? What is your sister, scared of it? Oh, Kitty, can I put you down as my friend on my userpage? You're a pretty cool person. Sergeant Snopake 12:39, 17/03/06

Sure, go ahead ^^ Kitty the Random 15:09, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

No, it is because my sister is not into doing intelligent things like editing an online encyclopedia. I must say that being able to hear colours and see sounds is something that I cannot fathom. Maybe I should try LSD --robz0r 13:42, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Huhhh...I like intelligent things, kinda. Yeah...I didn't really think there was anything special about hearing colors up until my dad read me an article in Reader's Digest. Or was it National Geographic?...I forget. Kitty the Random 15:09, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

edit

Kitty, I must implore you to join this committee! It's currently facing deletion, and we need all the members we can get! Seeing as you own/love cats, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Whether you join or not (please do!), could you comment on the deletion page to help keep the committee going?
Thanks!

Welcome and congratulations on joining the project! I must say, it's nice to see you. Sergeant Snopake 09:03, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Nice to see you, too =) I went on a short wikibreak but forgot to put up the thing that says I am. (Technically I'm supposed to still be on one but I'm in computer class with nothing to do.) --Kitty the Random 14:42, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
What the hell are you supposed to learn in computer class? Sergeant Snopake 15:01, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Should we delete this?

edit

We get this once in a while, someone making a page about an en.wp user on Uncyclopedia: Uncyclopedia:Kitty_the_Random. It might have already been deleted by the time you read this, but if not, just give a holler and we'll delete it. Cheers. --Splarka (rant) 05:02, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

If you could do something about it, its removal would be nice. Yes, I does scares the boys but I'm no admin. Hehe. Thank you. --Kitty the Random 05:59, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Okiedokie, huffed. --Splarka (rant) 06:10, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

WP:NPA. Read it. Learn it. Duh. --Passerby Cat talk cat 20:28, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey!

edit

Oh, it's fine! Can you delete the article? I didn't realise it was sensless to write a biographical article about myself, but I only realised it until I knew that I could write an article as such in my userpage. Sorry, newbie here!

--Rodrigo Cornejo 23:37, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

I don't have the power to delete articles; I am a regular user. Eventually the page will be deleted by an admin who has that power, since I tagged it with a speedy delete tag. Oh well, it's alright. Now you know to put your userpage to good use :) --Passerby Cat talk cat 23:42, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

repost?

edit

hey... can you leave it up for even 10 min? i spent alot of time making and i made sure it wasnt offensive even though it might be irrelevant -- Heemer

Wikipedia is not for biographies of yourself or your friends, except in special cases that your friend or you might be famous. It doesn't matter if you spent hours on it or that it's not offensive, it matters whether or not it's relevant, which it's not. I don't have the power to delete articles, so I have no power over leaving it up for ten minutes, it's all up to the admin, which I am not. Your userpage is like an article about yourself. So use it. :) --Passerby Cat talk cat 01:05, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

ʻOkina

edit

I reverted your various removals of the {{okina}} template. Please see ʻOkina and Template talk:Okina, and why (1) this template must remain in place, and (2) why the only proper Unicode value is ʻ. - Gilgamesh 15:25, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Gee, thanks. --Passerby Cat talk cat 22:42, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Sprotect tag

edit

Hi there. I see you put the {{sprotect}} tag on the Calday Grange Grammar School article. However, that tag does not protect pages. All it does is inform users of when a page is protected. It takes an administrator to protect a page, and to contact one concerning protection you should see requests for protection. Thanks. Cowman109Talk 22:42, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Darn it all the pete. There really needs to be a civilian sprotect that's there for a day until an admin can protect it for real. D: --Passerby Cat talk cat 00:29, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Marcelokh

edit

is it vandalism to post a biography of myself? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Marcelokh (talkcontribs) .

Please do not bite the newcomers. Vanity articles are not considered vandalism and vandalism warning tags should not be used for vanity articles. The {{Nothanks-vanity}} template should be used instead. Many contributors have started with a misguided understanding of Wikipedia, but quickly adapted to becoming productive members of the community. Let's try to encourage that instead of chasing them away. Thanks. -- JLaTondre 01:32, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

There's a template for that? --Passerby Cat talk cat 02:18, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
EDIT: Besides, that shouldn't be grounds to make vanity pages. I read the rules before joining and so should everyone else. Apologies if I sound condescending right now, but the notice on my userpage should give you an idea of my plight. --Passerby Cat talk cat 02:25, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
It's not grounds for making vanity pages. It's a recognition that most people don't read directions before jumping in. You are to be commended for doing so. I hope you feel better soon. -- JLaTondre 03:21, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
