Full Noise Music Festival is a live music event held in Townsville, Australia. The first Full Noise Music Festival at Townsville (Queensland, Australia) was held on Saturday, October 24 2009. Vass Promotions (VP) staged the event at the Rugby Union grounds, bringing some well needed live music to the North.
Full Noise Music Festival 2009 featured some of Australia’s hottest bands and DJs heard all over the Triple J and national FM stations, as well as up-and-coming acts and local names. The line-up was made up of Empire of the Sun, Frenzal Rhomb, British India, Koolism, Lost Valentinos, Pez, Bluejuice, Tame Impala, Numbers Radio, Ajax, Act Yo Age DJs, KillaQueenz, Low Budget, The Red Book Comics, The North Ward, The Truants, DJ Chrissy Mac, Why Wait, Skinny Beats and heaps more local DJs. With tickets sold at $95, Full Noise attracted some 5000 music lovers from all over Queensland. The festival was regarded as an absolute hit by the media, by patrons and by the bands who loved the relaxed North Queensland ambience and music supporters.
Plans for Full Noise 2010 are already underway and will take place again in early October, with the weekend date yet to be announced.
