Having been a long time advocate for educational advancements and a pro hands-on-learning type of guy, Wikipedia's mission statement and the contributions from Volunteered efforts are right in line with the opportunity to give and teach these kids as well as myself a Hope. A hope that in a future that is crowded by fake news, artificial smiles, and relationships generated through a screen. Thats my opinion and technology definitely has value in the volumes of knowledge at work.
I'm so excited to be a part (God willing) of this movement in a directions that seemed far gone for someone like myself. I can tell a story much like that of yours, or his, or hers! We all can learn something from someone. Hearing and listening are two different attributes that should be applied at appropriate times. I know very little about the cyber world or technological advancements. I discredited it for a very long time. Only recently, having hit the bottom, and finally listening to my friends and family did it click. Im not in the market to gain financially, or expect anything in return. The opportunity to watch and take notes, listen and apply is what I expect of myself. Most of my inspirations and drive come from having questions, asking them, and not being satisfied knowing I should have helped or done what I could. Fear and selfish pride kept me from being me. You know what? I actually like me. Thanks for giving me your time.
