Derrick S. Slack (born June 8, 1976) is an American author, poet, minister, musician, and motivational speaker. He has performed his poetry and speeches in over twenty countries and travels the United States extensively delivering messages on life, education, over-coming obstacles, goal setting, and pursuing dreams. He is the author of seven books including his latest 2010 release, 19,340: The Mountains of Your Dreams, a stirring, motivating book about climbing to new heights, while trusting that God will aid one's dreams. He has climbed to the top of the world's tallest free-standing mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. He is a member of the Neo-Soul, Jazz & Gospel band Rhythm Park. Derrick Slack is married and has one child.
