Roblox, is a platform with a million of different games to play with friends, but how does Roblox start his journey?
In 1990 David Baszucki and Erik Cassel -- Dead in February 2013 -- worked togheter at Interactive Physics which in 1998, was sold for 20$ millions to MSC Software, where David Baszucki worked to 2000 until 2002. In 2002 Baszucki, left the MSC Software and he founded the Baszucki & Assocaties from 2003-2004.
The start of a great idea In 2003, David Baszucki and Erik cassel, worked togheter for an early prototype of Roblox, led with name of Dynablocks, after renamed "Roblox" in 2005. Roblox was officially realeased at September 1st 2006. The game wasnt so complicated, there were nothing more than 10-15 games. One of the most iconic is "Sword Fight On The Heights", created by the one and only, John Shedletsky, or Telamon at the time, this game is still playable with around 20-45 active players.

The Egg Hunts are much liked by the Roblox community trough the years. The first Egg hunt was "Eggstravanganza" on March 20th until March 23rd 2008 Following its release, players figured out how to take advantage of the egg dropping system by creating egg funnels, which would allow players to quickly collect all the eggs. Players could have collected eleven different eggs that appeared in every game on Roblox during the designated times. These eggs all had different ways of being collected, such as beating the Puzzling Egg of Enigma at a game of chess or by killing a player that was wearing a special hat.
The Gift Explosions are one of the Christmas event trough 2007-2015 Giftsplosion 2007 was the first ever gift giving spree event on Roblox. Over the course of 13 days, the Roblox administrators released 10 gift boxes into the marketplace. Gifts were rewarded to those who met the requirements hidden within the riddles provided. Once the obtaining period has ended, the gift box will go on sale for Robux for a limited time. After the gift box went off sale, it opened and granted the owners a new item in their inventory.
The events will be eventually closed defenitally on 2018, with the re-aperture on 2024 with "The Hunt" event.
Incidents[2]
Trough Roblox history, there was so many incidents. Like the 2014 Twitch incident.Yes, Roblox had a Twitch channel, where they stream every week with sneaky peeks, answering questions etc. Two moderators which they host the stream, after closing their cam, they forgot to close the microphone, and said obscenes about Roblox. The stream was immediatly closed, and the hosts of the stream were terminated and fired. After some days, the Roblox Twitch channel was closed by Twitch team forever.
Some years before, on April 1st 2012, some accounts were compromises with the hacking of the website from unknowed hackers. Most of the biggest names were compromises, Minish, coolboy10000,ReeseMcBlox,are17, ad so many innocents accounts were given, for no reason, tousand and tousand of robux and got terminated, it was a complete chaos, resolved only with a website maintenance closing temporary the website. The innocents accounts never got unbanned, causing big criticism by the community.
In 2014 another incident happen. In August 2014, an unknown Roblox user used alternate accounts with the intention to abuse the Game Ratings feature by automatically joining games to force them onto the Popular sort of the Discover page. The user targeted rich and famous players, such as Linkmon99 and Voxhall. Due to many innocent players being terminated as a result of the incident, criticism was spread within the community for poor investigation from administrators. It is unknown if the user who caused the incident was found or faced any consequences.
Two years later, Roblox security was breached. The 2016 Roblox security breach was an incident which led to the user data of 100,000 players being exposed to an unauthorized group of individuals. The breach was mentioned by Roblox administrators in a security update blog post. The leaked databases were used to compromise many old accounts, both by the individuals behind the breach, and other users who obtained the files from forums. The files contained the data of around 50,000 Roblox accounts which join dates ranged from February 2006 to September 2007. Additionally, the email addresses of certain players with high value limiteds were also leaked as a result of this breach in January.
