EPiServer is a software company specializing in web content management systems, online social communities and e-commerce.[1] The company was founded in 1994 and has offices in Sweden, United Kingdom, United States, Australia, South Africa, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland and Norway.[2]
EPiServer’s software is built on the Microsoft .NET platform and includes modules for Social Media Integration, Community and eCommerce. It is often viewed as a user friendly system for content editors and site administrators.[3]
EPiServer runs an Online Community called EPiServer World which serves as a technical resource for developers and administrators. Software, product documentation and support forums are available on EPiServer world.
In March 2012, EPiServer completed its purchase of eCommerce software company Mediachase.[4]
