Geography
editGeorgetown lies within Harrison Township, which covers an area of 101.58 square miles (263.1 km²), of which 101.33 square miles (262.4 km²) is land and 0.25 square miles (0.6 km²) is water.
History
editHarrison County, where Georgetown is situated, is one of the oldest counties in Indiana, established in 1808. The area has a rich history, with early European settlements beginning shortly after the American Revolutionary War. The county is named after William Henry Harrison, the first governor of the Indiana Territory and the 9th President of the United States.
Economy
