๐ผ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ร ๐ร๐๐ผ๐๐ is one of the most important festival for ๐๐๐จ๐๐ฃ๐ community of Assam. It's celebrated by the Mising people (cast) an indigenous tribe of Assam, India. This festival specially associated with agriculture, therefore it's also known as agricultural festival of Assam. Actually this festival beginning season of the Ahu paddy cultivation and the festival marks onset of sowing seeds.
According to Assamese calendar Ali Ayรฉ Lรญgang celebrated in the first Wednesday of Phagun month and this festival generally celebrated in the English month of February.
The word Ali Ayรฉ Lรญgang identifies the meaning of the day on which Mising people sow seeds of 'AHU RICE' in their cultivation, which called 'LIร AAM' specially in Mising community. This is the main reason behind the many people known as ALi Ayรฉ Lรญgang is a agricultural festival of Assam.
After completing the seeding, they organized various type of dancing, specially dance known as 'GUMRAG SO:MAN' and singing, which known as 'OI NรTOM' in Mising community. 'GUMRAG SO:MAN' and 'OI NรTOM' is one of the famous cultural and traditional of Mising community which also related to agriculture activity. In the dance song affairs the young boy and girls take the first part. Usually in the village inhabitant they perform their traditional culture in front of everyone. Their dance and song show the abstract of attraction for re-production.
After the end of these festival, their also begins a food program. They take to eat their traditional packet boild rice or 'TORA PITHA', which known as 'PURANG APIN' specially in mising community; those are very tasty.
