Akeem Manhertz, commonly known as “Kyngjai ”, is a multi-talented rising Hip-Hop and Dancehall Artist. Mr. Manhertz was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to the United States in late 2010, when he was (15) years old. It was this major life changing move where he fell in love with the hip hop culture looking up to inspirations like lil wayne, 2-pac and jay z. It was 2pacs poetic and spiritual style of music, lil Wayne’s emotion and struggles from such a young age, and jay z’s energy that heavily Influenced the musician he aspires to become. “ Since then he’s had the opportunity to work under labels such as Y.N.F, Bad block entertainment and most recently A.D productions, where he gained the experience in professional music making. Having performed his singles “Pree Life and 6 Feet” at RT Night Club April 4th, 2014 and at The Chicken Box June 14, 2014, furthered his passion in music. This advantage positively impacted his career by being able to share his creative artistry and expand his fan base with the world. His culturally unique dancehall-hip hop style, which can set a tone to match any mood, is what makes him stand out from other artists.
In the near future Kingjai hopes to collaborate with some of today’s top artists in hip hop and dancehall, like new and upcoming Jamaican artist Skillibeng, Vibes Kartel and intense. He hopes to work with Kyyngg, YBN Nahmir and lil t-jay but currently he is excited to share his upcoming mixtape “ J.A.I ” a four track masterpiece says Jai, “I feel as if people will be surprised by the tape it’s different I wanted my listeners to have a true sense of who I am and the people I am around, a feel of me, my pain, my struggle.
