The Necropolis of Amorosi is a collection of cemeteries located in southern Italy in Benevento, in the centre of the Telesina Valley. The necropolis dates back 2,800 years and contains 88 pit tombs and two large grave mounds. It covers an area of 13,000 square metres and is placed near Amorosi, about 48 kilometres notheast of Naples.[1] Its style belongs to the culture of Campania before the arrival of Samnities and the archeological evidence concerns a funerary area, attested between the final stages of the Iron Age and the period of advanced orientalisation.[2]
