6x7 Cubes
edit6x7 Cubes is a Rubik's Cube and apparel supplier based in Sharon, Massachusetts.
History
editFounded in 2017, elementary schoolers Aarush Raj and Shayak Saha found that Rubik's Cubes were overpriced and were offered in terrible states. They began giving setups to their friends in school under the name Cubix Toolbox.
In 2018, Saha left and two new associates, Clark Nau and Daniel Labunski, joined and the name changed to 6x7 Cubes. 6x7 continued to give setup and lubrication services to children at their school at a small scale.
In 2019, Raj stepped back and the other two members went on to sell their first Rubik's Cubes throughout their school, Yuxin Little Magics. It was here that 6x7 began to magnetize cubes. The success brought the end to their elementary school career, as the business went on to Sharon Middle School.
By 2020, the trio stepped back from selling cubes due to the complications that COVID-19 caused with both the supply chain and their ability to sell cubes. During this brief hiatus, however, they were able to organize an online cubing competition called Cubing in Quarantine, drawing competitors from all around the world! Near the end of 2020, Raj, Labunski and Nau began to code preliminary website concepts.
For the first half, of 2021, 6x7 lay largely dormant, but in June Labunski stepped away and Raj and Nau began developing the current 6x7 website. Labunski's last contribution was the current logo, of a 3x3 rubik's cube making out a 6 and a 7. 6x7's owners Clark Nau and Aarush Raj launched their self-developed website https://6x7cubes.com in August of 2021 and have seen significant growth since its launch. In December of 2021, 6x7 expanded into the apparel business, successfully launching the 6x7 Accelerated Hoodie. 6x7 Cubes looks to expand in the future.
